These Hebrew words are taken from the silent amidah, a prayer that is said three times daily: My God, guard my lips from speaking evil and my tongue from speaking deceitfully... May the one who brings peace to the higher spheres bring peace to Earth. And let us say amen.
So, what does this all mean? It means that when we commit to speaking kindly to and about ourselves and others, we create room for God to bring peace into the world.
