A woman of valor who can find? She is more precious than rubies.
Her husband’s heart relies on her and she brings him good and no harm.
She makes herself strong, she makes her arms powerful.
She opens her palm to the poor and she reaches out her hand to the needy.

She is robed in strength and dignity and she smiles at the future.
She opens her mouth with wisdom and the words of kindness are on her tongue.
Her children rise up and make her happy and her husband praises her,
“Many women have done well but you have surpassed them all!”

The sixth day: The heavens, the Earth and all within them were finished. By the seventh day God had completed the work which He had been doing and rested from all work. Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, for on that day He rested from His work of creation.

Blessed are You, Ado-nai, creator of the fruit of the vine. Blessed are you, Adonai, who sanctified us with Your commandments and favored us. Lovingly you have done so with the gift of the holy Shabbat as our inheritance, a reminder of creation, first among the sacred days that recall the exodus from Egypt. You have chosen us and have given us a sacred purpose in life. You have lovingly given us Shabbat as a heritage. Blessed are you, Ado-nai, who makes Shabbat holy.

A song of ascents. When God brings Zion out of captivity, we will be like dreamers. Then our mouths will fill with laughter and our tongue with joyful song. Then they will say among the nations, “G-d has done great things for them.” God will do great things for us, and we will rejoice.
